Tony Pool- Owner

Tony is a disabled veteran that served honorably in both the U.S. Navy and the Army. His lifelong love of serving others, along with the dismal recidivism rates that plague our society, led him to start Beecon Recovery. The high failure rate in the traditional addiction recovery industry prompted him to implement a more holistic approach to treatment.

Tony grew up with a father that suffered with alcohol addiction and he had his own issues with alcohol addiction in his younger years. As he has grown on this journey we call life, he has realized that the only true solution to finding ultimate success in life, is through the love Jesus Christ gives us all. It is his personal goal to share how he has overcome his addictions and to help others do the same, by implementing the latest holistic modalities available. He has hand picked his staff to best meet the needs of all those who come to Beecon of Light.

Tony loves spending time in the beautiful Utah mountains, whether it’s hiking, camping, or both.

Dr. Terry Sellers MD, MS - Medical Director

Dr. Terry L. Sellers believes he is a lucky man because has received a second lease on life. While a serious addiction to opiates once took almost everything from him, he now feels privileged to be able to help others with similar problems. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed an OB/GYN residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1995.
Dr. Sellers practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Provo, UT for 12 years, delivering over 6,000 babies. Years of migraine headaches sparked his addiction to pain medications. He spent many years suffering with a desire to stop using opiates and the inability to do so. He ultimately decided to get help by enrolling in substance abuse treatment and gave up his lifestyle of being a solo obstetrician. He now has over 17 years of recovery from drug addiction and is active in the recovery community. Living a recovery lifestyle for almost two decades has created a new perspective on life and what is important to him and he is now able to work in the addiction field as a Board Certified Addiction Medicine Physician. Dr. Sellers is the medical director at Journey Treatment Center, Lion’s Gate Recovery in St. George, Pathways Real Life Recovery in Sandy and Pathways Wholeness Center in Richfield. He also owns DetoxOne with his business partner Dr. Kristen Brown. DetoxOne provides private detox services in a luxurious setting.

Jessica Smith- Wellness Coordinator

Jessica started her health journey when she moved to Maui, Hawaii back in 2016.  A young woman with unguided drive and passion, she began working for a vegan restaurant. With no prior knowledge on “health food”, the information started flooding in. This sparked her interest in nutrition. It began with eating clean, cutting out artificial products, and focusing on whole food instead of processed food. Something amazing happened. She fell in love with health, She fell in love with feeling good. The message became clear, “When your stomach is in good health, your mind will follow.”

Jessica now is a mom to a wonderful 3 year old. Living north of Brigham City, she spends most of her freetime outdoors. If you ask, her passions include food, traveling, and having fun with her son.
